Pears

The two variations of the "Pear" were cut from shina plywood and printed on Yamaguchi Hosho. The background was printed on the lighter variation edition and then was printed again with the darker color. That block was reduced, printed and reduced and printed in the same manner for each variation. (Hard to explain.) The texture of the pear was created by printing two impressions of gradated color and then a third impression after the block had been hit with a nail.
