“Hillscape”

Before I printed, I painted. My acrylics in the early 70’s were often inspired by patterns in Ukiyoe landscapes. My goal was to go full circle, to make woodblock prints inspired by the parts I loved in the Ukiyoe prints . Fifty years later, I brought one of those old paintings into the studio as a starting point and began working. The result is “Hillscape”.
