October Leaves

The style of “October Leaves” is quite different from what I have been doing recently.  I started this woodcut 16 years ago, having carved about 8 blocks. I did one proof and decided to fix problems later. “Later” was in 2016, and I could find only two of the eight blocks so … I then cut one more block, printed, and then reduced it five more times. I also reduced the old purple block one more time.

Block: Shina Plywood (reduced 5 times), 2 mystery blocks with one reduced one time
Ink: Sennelier Dry Pigment (with water and rice starch)
