Boulder Beaver

It’s Spring 2016, and five beavers are living on our pond.  When they are out of the water, munching in the marsh,  it is sometimes hard to tell if we’re watching a beaver or staring at a rock.  “Boulder Beaver” is a simple woodcut I simply had to get out of my system.

Paper: Yamaguchi Sarashi
Blocks:  2 Shina Plywood, 1 Luan, 1 from the garage, probably pine
Ink: Sennelier Dry Pigment and Sumi Ink (with water and rice starch)
