And then it snowed! January 2011, with its 60 or 70 or whatever inches of snow, provided fairyland landscapes. The colors in the snow were fabulous. When I walked through the woods as the sun climbed, there was a new palette every second. The colors of snow? Pink, orange, red . . . who knew?
