This print is my largest to date. It was also my first time to use paper made by a "Living National Treasure" of Japan, Mr Ichibei Iwano. The strength of the paper made printing a joy. The scary part was that I didn't have any proofing paper either large enough or of good enough quality to use. I finally decided to prepare 20 sheets of the real stuff, convincing myself I'd be satisfied with 10 decent prints. RIght from the start, two sheets were sacrificed for proofing. Then as adjustments, or mistakes, were made, more sheets became available (unfortunately) for proofing. In the end I had 13 consistent prints and one artist's proof. Whew!
